Trade

Terms of supply

Everything a buyer asks in the first email, answered before it gets sent.

I make a fixed quantity a year, so wholesale is a small part of it and the terms are written down rather than argued over. If they work for your shop, the rest of the conversation is short and usually happens on a Thursday.

Minimum first order Six pieces

Mixed across the range. A first order is made as its own run rather than split off somebody else's.

Reorder minimum Four pieces

No minimum at all on repairs or replacements for anything you already hold.

Lead time Eight weeks

Six on a reorder from the permanent line. I will not quote four weeks and then miss it.

Margin Keystone

Recommended retail is published on this site and I sell at it, so you never compete with me on price.

Payment Half up front

Balance before dispatch. Net thirty by arrangement after the second order goes through cleanly.

Territory One shop per city

Held for as long as you order twice a year. Two in London, split by neighborhood.

Delivery Insured, included

Sent tracked and insured to full retail value at my cost, anywhere I already ship.

Returns Faults only

Anything that fails is repaired or replaced for life. Slow sellers can be swapped once a year, no argument.

The current sheet carries wholesale and retail on every piece, with metal weights and the reorder lead times.

For shops

How do you decide who stocks the work?
Whether there is already a shop in your city, whether what you carry sits next to this without shouting at it, and whether you sell to people who wear jewelry rather than store it. Being asked politely helps.
Can we have exclusive pieces?
After the second order, yes. Three counters have a piece nobody else carries. It is one design a year and I choose it with you rather than for you.
What if something does not sell?
Swap it once a year, any piece, no argument and no restocking charge. Slow stock sitting in your case helps neither of us.
Do you do trade shows?
Goldsmiths' Fair most years and nothing else. If you would rather see the range in person than on a line sheet, that is the week to catch me.

For customers

Will a stockist have the piece I saw here?
Not necessarily. None of them hold the whole range and several carry silver only, so the line under each shop in the register says what to expect. Ring ahead.
Is it cheaper to buy direct?
No. I sell at the same recommended retail price everywhere, including here, which is the only way a small shop can afford to take the work at all.
Can a stockist order something in for me?
Yes, from the permanent line, in about six weeks. Commissions are the one thing that has to come through me directly, because the fitting cannot be delegated.
What about repairs on a piece bought abroad?
Send it here and I will do it. Resizing and re-finishing are free for life on anything I made, wherever you bought it, and you pay only the insured postage back.
